When we read a this inspiring essay written by Russell M. Nelson on the occasion of his 101st birthday, we recognized a truth that had long stirred in our hearts. With a century of life behind him, he wrote that lasting happiness comes from two simple but profound practices: recognizing the inherent worth and dignity in ourselves, and extending that same dignity to every person we meet. He observed that the world changes not through contention but through neighbors choosing to listen with respect. Those words gave shape to what we already believed and All Peacemakers Needed was born because we believe that building bridges of understanding is not just possible, it is necessary. And that all peacemakers are needed to do it.
